What everybody should know

It will really put a burden on your wallet when you buy a car. Teenagers will take out loans to buy cars for themselves. I have some ideas and tips for anyone trying to avoid this.

What to do first

Avoiding buying a new car is my first advice. Even driving off the lot will lose you a couple of thousand dollars. This means that buying a car that is a couple years old is going to save you thousands of dollars. If you buy an old car it will be cheap and practical.

What you need second

For you first car you need to buy an old car. You will probably get rid of your first car quickly. This means you shouldn’t plan on keeping your first car for very long. I know that buying a car from the nineties rather than this year will save you a lot of money. A great thing to do is to look for cars with problems that need to be fixed since it will reduce the prices quite a bit. You need to make sure the car is working well enough to last you through college or a few years of working.

This is My Third Suggestion

Remember that you need to pay for the car in cash. Just to avoid a hassle, they will give you a bargain if you show up with cash. Try doing this with everything since it works with more than just cars. Showing that you have cash will get you great deals. Get a receipt or contract when you pay with cash. You will be protected if you can show proof of purchase.

Tip Number Four

My fourth tip is that instead of taking out a loan you save up for the car. Don’t take out more than you need to in loans for a first car. This will save you a lot of money and help you to appreciate your car more. It would seem that paying off just the interest of a car loan will cost you a lot of money. To buy your first car I would suggest you take out as little loan as possible.

Your fifth tip

You need to take care of the car you just bought. Your car will run a lot longer than a couple of years if you treat it right. Checking the engine and changing the oil often will help. Make sure you don’t go on too many long trips with the car. Remember to keep it clean on the inside and outside. Now you should be able to find a reliable >car that is cheap and nice.
